Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made five ambulance runs Tuesday and three Wednesday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
More information was released on the arrest of a man suspected of burglary and theft on Tuesday. A citizen reported seeing a red Dodge pickup backed up to the Clausen Garage, at 317 Pawnee Ave. in Pawnee Rock. The sheriff’s office also received a report of a burglary at 1244 NW 50 Ave., rural Pawnee Rock, where multiple car parts and other items were allegedly stolen from a shop building. A deputy located and stopped the pickup. Property was recovered and a suspect arrested. In the afternoon, an officer checked on a report that more of the property from the rural shop building was at Acme Scrap in Great Bend.

David Goffett was parking a vehicle pulling a trailer at 2901 10th St. in Great Bend at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday and hit the back side of a parked City of Great Bend truck. BSCO worked the accident as an outside agency assist.
Theft of a dead end sign at SE 60 Ave. and SE 10 Road was reported Tuesday.

Great Bend Police
A Great Bend resident reported multiple forgeries, including nine at Walmart and one at 2015 Lakin Ave.
Theft of a trailer from 1222 10th St. was reported.
A woman who reported forgeries in Great Bend on Monday reported Tuesday that another forgery occurred in Hoisington. She was referred to the Hoisington Police Department.
A theft case was taken Tuesday after an individual reported losing property at Walmart.
A case was also taken after another individual reported losing some money at Wendy’s restaurant.
An adult male allegedly attempted to sexually assault a adult female residing in the same residence, Tuesday afternoon in Great Bend. The case is under investigation; the victim has been removed from the residence.
A motorist in a small gold four-door sport utility vehicle reportedly failed to pay for gas at 7:42 p.m. at 1315 10th St.
