Herman booked on more charges

Kaden Herman was booked for distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, taxation of drugs and possession with intent to sell. Kaden was already being held on theft charges related to the ATM burglary at Landmark National Bank.


Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs on Thursday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
Criminal damage was reported at Holland Street and Lakin Avenue.
A narcotics violation was reported at 31st and Gano Street.
A narcotics violation was reported at 2500 9th St.
Theft of a wallet was reported at 2910 18th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A non-injury accident was reported at mile marker 174 on K-96. A vehicle hit a deer.
A narcotics violation was reported at mile marker 193 on U.S. 56.
A non-injury accident was reported at mile marker 194 on K-156.

Kansas Highway Patrol

The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a one vehicle accident at 10:35 a.m. in Russell County on Thursday.
A 2011 Kenworth driven by Stephen Nisbett, 35, of Amarillo Texas, was west bound on I-70 one mile west of K-232 in the right lane, the driver was bit on the right hand by a dog in the vehicle, causing the driver to leave the roadway on north side of road. The driver over corrected causing vehicle to roll, coming to rest in grass on the north side of the west bound lanes.
Both the driver and the passenger, Kimberly Nisbett, 35, of Danielson Conn. were injured in the accident and were taken to Russell Regional Hospital.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and the passenger was not.
