Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Tuesday.
There were two false alarms, and at 10:23 p.m. they responded to an unauthorized burn at 108 Maple Street.

Great Bend Police
Damage to a window at 720 Odell St. was reported Monday. Loss was $50.
A ring found at Veterans Memorial Park was turned in to the police department.
Someone shot a window at 2302 Main with a BB gun.
A laptop computer valued at $2,000 was reported stolen Tuesday from somewhere on 16th St.
A 1:41 p.m. Tuesday an officer made a traffic stop on Third St. for a vehicle with a tag that was reported stolen on May 1.
Police received a report of a child locked in a vehicle in the 1400 block of Ninth St. at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday. Marmie’s responded and got the child out.
An injury accident was reported at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday. A vehicle driven by Sierra Hernandez was northbound on U.S. 281 Bypass and struck a vehicle driven by Brandon Lerou, who was eastbound on 16th St. Both drivers went to Great Bend Regional Hospital by private vehicles. Lerou was cited for failure to yield.
An attempted burglary at 2527 1/2 11th St. was reported at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday.

Barton County Sheriff
A Hoisington St. sign from the North Susank Blacktop and Hoisington St. was stolen sometime over the weekend, and the pole was bent. Damage was estimated at $100 to $150.
During an initial patdown at the jail Monday evening, suspected methamphetamine was found.
A length of wire on an irrigation pivot at NW 60 Ave. and West Barton County Road was damaged.
A burglary at North Susank Blacktop and NW 220 Road was reported Tuesday. Someone broke into a building and took a welder and several oilfield parts.
