Barton County Sheriff

A ring and $300 cash were allegedly stolen from a Barton County residence by a known person.
A small rope tornado was on the ground in the area of the Barton/Rush County line, at NW 140 Ave. and NW 90 Road, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. No damage was reported. A tree fell on a power line in the Barton/Stafford County line, at SE 100 Ave. and SE 70 Road, around 7:30 p.m., causing a power outage and blocking the roadway.
An 18-speed bicycle was stolen from 325 Marla St., Great Bend.

Great Bend Police

A burglary at 1604 Monroe St. was reported Tuesday. Someone entered the residence, trashing the inside.
