Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters extinguished a fire in a burn pit at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at 329 North U.S. 281. It was an unauthorized burn.
Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs on Wednesday.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of copper wiring from several pieces of equipment was reported Wednesday from a farm at 1082 NW 80 Ave.
A Morton building at 1144 North Susank Blacktop was egged and a window was broken.
A vehicle hit a deer at 5:36 a.m. Thursday on NE K-156 and NE 160 Ave.

Great Bend Police
A counterfeit bill was passed at 4001 10th St., it was reported Wednesday.
A refrigerator was reported stolen from 623 Bake Ave.
A vehicle hit a traffic light and fiberoptic cable at 12:46 p.m. on 10th St.
Vehicles driven by Harlan Maier and Julie Walker collided at 1:14 p.m. in the 1500 block of Main.
Vehicles driven by Kelci Kearns and Stanley Haynes collided at 1:52 p.m. in the 1300 block of Kansas Ave.
