Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Friday, six on Saturday, two on Sunday and six on Monday. There were two fire calls on Saturday.
At 7:19 p.m. Saturday, units responded to 1900 VanBuren for flames that were uncontrollable from a grill. The owner was able to extinguish the flames and get the propane valve turned off before units arrived.
The second call came in at 10:12 p.m. Saturday when units responded to 166 U.S. 281 for a small grass fire in the back yard. Upon arrival firefighters found an unauthorized burn pit. The occupants extinguished the fire.

May 26
Criminal damage was reported at Wal-Mart located at 3503 10th St.

May 27
Theft was reported at 2207 Monroe St.
A non-injury accident was reported at 2400 Washington Ave.
Burglary was reported at 212 Chestnut St. Items stolen from residence.
A non-injury accident was reported at Broadway Avenue and Main Street.
Theft was reported at Gamestop located at 3511 10th St.

May 28
Burglary/in progress was reported at 1114 Odell St. A vehicle was broken into by a white male. The subject left behind a black BMX bicycle when he ran off before police arrived.
A narcotics violation was reported at 24th and Main Street.

May 29
Burglary/in progress was reported at 1410 11th St. A female subject was trying to break into a vacant house.
Criminal damage was reported at 2204 20th St. A vehicle was damaged.
Theft was reported at 2111 Madison St.

A non-injury accident was reported at 55 SE 60 Ave. A vehicle hit a deer.

May 27
An injury accident was reported at mile marker 196 on U.S. 56.
