Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Friday, 11 Saturday, 10 Sunday and six Monday.
At 5:27 p.m. Friday they were dispatched to Lakin and Main, to check on a strong propane odor. A propane truck driving through was venting.
There was a false alarm Saturday morning when a smoke detector went off at 2501 Canterbury Lane.
At 10:09 a.m. Saturday there was a tree stump on fire at 2807 Morton St. There was also a water leak in a basement at 253 West Barton County Road at 9:37 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday there was a small fuel spill at 1101 Main at 7:52 p.m. and a short in a wire at 1110 Heizer St. at 8:14 p.m. There was also a short in a dishwasher at 2400 Shawnee Drive at 9:39 p.m., which caused the house to fill with smoke.
A dishwasher overheated and was sparking at 6:25 a.m. Monday at 810 Frey St., and there was a false alarm caused by a system malfunction at 7:44 p.m. at 1201 Patton Road.

A vehicle driven by Dunia Cortez was westbound on Broadway at 7:54 a.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Susan Stambaugh at Washington. Stambaugh was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
A Chevy Camaro at 1810 Hubbard St. was keyed. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
A burglary at 5512 Eisenhower Ave. was reported Friday. A trimmer and other items were stolen from a utility shed.
A handicap placard was stolen from 1217 Adams St.
A vehicle driven by Jon Strong was northbound on Morton St. making a left turn at 18th, and struck a vehicle driven by Michael Newsome, who was also northbound on Morton, at 3:12 p.m. Friday.
A burglary at 3510 17th St. was reported. Someone entered the residence and took jewelry.
Theft of a cell phone from Great Bend High School was reported.
A vehicle driven by Kayci Cavender was eastbound on 11th St. at 4:37 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Angel Armendariz, who was southbound on Hubbard St.
One male battered another at 5803 16th Terrace Apt. 20 on Friday evening. Great Bend Regional Hospital contacted the police.
An injury accident was reported at 7:09 p.m. Friday. A vehicle driven by Kirsten Williams was northbound in the 1400 block of K-96 and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Jaquie Disque, who was stopped in traffic at Broadway.
A hit-and-run vehicle was eastbound on Railroad Avenue and struck a sign, it was discovered Saturday morning.
Theft of a safe from 1440 12th St. was reported Saturday. Loss was $90.
An injury accident was reported at 10:14 a.m. Saturday. A vehicle driven by James McCulley was northbound on Harrison and struck a vehicle driven by Edward Ford, who was westbound on Broadway.
A vehicle driven by John Helfrich was northbound in the 3500 block of 10th St. at 1:20 p.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Darrel Tiday, who was southbound.
Someone attempted to drive through the overhead door at 2120 Kansas Ave. Saturday night and damaged the door.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of Jefferson St., it was reported Sunday morning.
Theft of Kansas handicapped plate no. 36562 from the 1400 block of 12th St. was reported Sunday.
A $43 gas skip at 1315 10th St. was reported at 3:39 p.m. Sunday.
Someone broke the window on a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina at 2520 11th St., it was reported Sunday.
Theft of a laptop computer from 5844 16th St. Terrace No. 58 was reported Monday morning.
A male motorist was cited for a weapons violation after being stopped at 3 a.m. Tuesday on the south Main St. bridge. A set of brass knuckles was on the seat next to him.
