Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made two ambulance runs on Tuesday.
At 8:23 they responded to a fire at 1803 Second St., where a ceiling fan had shorted causing some fire damage in the ceiling joist. Estimated damage was $2,500.

Barton County Sheriff
A Chevrolet Equinox was northbound in the 100 block of NE 70 Ave. at 4:50 p.m. Friday and struck a telephone pole.
A 19-year-old male was allegedly involved in a one-vehicle accident in the 100 block of NW 20 Ave. (NW 20 Ave. and 24th St.) and left the scene with other occupants of the vehicle, it was reported at 12:41 a.m. Saturday. He was to contact officers that day for their investigation. He called at 10:02 p.m. and was told a deputy needed to talk to him and everyone who was with him.
Approximately 250 gallons of diesel fuel were stolen from two vehicles at 318 SW 40 Ave.
A Winchester 12-gauge semi-auto shotgun was stolen from a pickup at 238 N. Washington Ave., it was reported Saturday.
Jose Hernandez was driving south on SW 5 Ave. at 2:30 a.m. Sunday. He swerved to miss a deer and hit a culvert.
Linda Michaelis was driving in the 900 block of NE 130 Ave. at 5:30 a.m. Sunday and his a deer.
Theft of a radiator in a 1965 Chevy truck in the 10 block of SW 20 Ave. & Kiowa Road was reported Sunday.
Theft of boat parts from 713 Patton Road was reported Sunday.
Theft of a tailgate from a vehicle at 3622 Railroad Ave. was reported Sunday night.

Great Bend Police
A burglary at 412 Evergreen St. was reported Tuesday. Items were taken out of a pickup.
Christmas items were stolen from 1209 Washington Ave.
Two females left 2920 10th St. without paying for food at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday.
A sex crime in Great Bend was reported at 1:47 a.m. Wednesday.
