Fire assist
A fire truck was called to stand by at the Great Bend Municipal Airport at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday, when it was reported a flight was making an emergency landing due to an engine stalling. The plane landed safely.

Barton County Sheriff
A shed at SE 110 Ave. and SE 50 Road was broken into, it was reported Wednesday. Several items were taken from this shop building south of Ellinwood, including power tools.
A vehicle driven by Joseph Pettitt struck a vehicle driven by Charles Martinez as Pettitt was making a left turn on NW 25 Road at North Washington, at 8:56 a.m. Wednesday.
A vehicle hit a deer in the 800 block of NE 100 Ave. at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday.
A vehicle hit a deer on K-156 at NE 20 Road at 7:20 p.m. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.

Great Bend Police
A burglary from somewhere on 11th St. was reported Wednesday after a generator was stolen. Loss was $365.
A vehicle driven by Stacey Magnett was southbound on VanBuren St. at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Angela Parr, who was westbound on 17th St.
A woman reported finding cash in the parking lot at 1811 Main.
