Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs on Friday, nine on Saturday and nine on Sunday. There were two fire calls on Saturday, at 10:29 p.m. had a report of a smoldering fire one mile west of Washington street on the river. Upon arrival found a small fire that was quickly extinguished. At 11:36 a.m. units responded to a kitchen fire at 2020 Forest. Upon arrival were met with the staff who informed us that while preparing the kitchen to open for business, the fryer caught on fire. The staff used a dry chemical extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
