Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs Friday, eight Saturday and nine Sunday.
At 3:48 p.m. Friday they responded to 3120 10th St. for a possible gas smell, and at 12:08 a.m. Saturday they checked on arcing power lines at 812 Hickory St. Wheatland Electric also responded.

Barton County Sheriff
A burglary at Prosser Arena, located an the edge of Odin at 888 NE 140 Road, was reported Friday. Buildings were broken into and copper was stolen.
Deputies assisted the Great Bend Police Department at 8:55 p.m. Friday in recovering a 32-inch Vizo flat screen TV reportedly stolen from Walmart, which was picked up from a student housing residence at Barton Community College (BCC).
A car trailer was reportedly stolen sometime Friday evening from 31 SE 10 Road.
A woman reported Saturday that her iPhone was stolen while she was at BCC, 245 NE 30 Road.
Another woman reported her ex-boyfriend had stolen her cell phone a week ago, and after hearing the number over a police scanner she thought the phone was in a vehicle that was impounded. She wanted to know how to get the phone back.
Two vehicles collided at 418 South U.S. 281, four miles south of Great Bend, at 4:48 p.m. Saturday in a non-injury accident.
Shots were reportedly fired in the air at 4:37 p.m. Saturday from the area of the 600 block of Cheyenne View Drive, and the pellets were coming down in a neighbor’s trees.

Great Bend Police
A 22-year-old male allegedly stole three pairs of jeans from JC Penney Co., 1500 Kansas Ave., on Friday and was served a notice to appear (NTA) in municipal court.
A vehicle driven by Rita Engle struck a vehicle driven by Karren Jagger, who was stopped in the alley at 2100 16th St. at 4:48 p.m. Friday.
A male allegedly stole a hat from the Walmart Supercenter, 3503 10th St., and was served an NTA on Friday evening. Another NTA was signed because he allegedly stole a television.
Golden Belt Humane Society took an animal complaint Friday evening from the 900 block of 8th St.
An unknown male reportedly stole two cases of beer Friday from Casey’s General Store, 2716 10th St.
A burglary at 1400 Tyler St. was reported at 3:29 a.m. Saturday. A television was stolen.
Vehicles driven by Massen Torres and Amy Miller collided at 8:42 a.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of 25th St.
A vicious dog at large was reported in the 1200 block of Hubbard St. at 9:49 a.m. Saturday, after a pitbull allegedly attacked another dog. NTAs were signed against two individuals, one for vicious dog/dog at large, and one for dog at large.
Someone stole a basketball goal from 1450 9th St., it was reported Saturday.
Someone reportedly stole a stereo from a vehicle at 2201 27th St. A burglary with theft of clothing at that address was also reported.
Vehicles driven by Jace Bowman and Steven Smith collided on Broadway Ave. at 4:12 p.m. Saturday.
A vehicle driven by Katie Nicolet was northbound on Washington at 6:30 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Modesto Bujanda, who was stopped in traffic at 19th St.
An injury accident was reported at 12:36 p.m. Sunday, when vehicles driven by Elleanor Miller and Wayne Koelling collided on Broadway Ave.
A vehicle driven by John MacKenzie was pulling into a driveway at 2209 30th St. at 3:04 p.m. and struck the garage. A possible criminal damage case was taken for review when it was reported that a bike at the residence was damaged.
James Wonsettler was riding his bike north on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of Main at 4:09 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Kelli Sneath, who was turning south onto Main. This was reported as a non-injury accident.
Someone broke the door on a residence at 1321 Madison St.
A juvenile was bitten by a dog in the 1300 block of Harrison St.
A BCSO officer discovered a broken window at Beautiful Beginnings Boutique, 1523 Main St., at 3:53 a.m. Monday.
