Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Monday. There were no fires.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 6:42 a.m. Monday on U.S. 56, west of Dartmouth.
At 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, the Barton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit prepared to go to Lyons to assist in a Rice County case.

Great Bend Police
Flower pots were stolen from 1102 Macarthur Road, it was reported Monday.
A 26-inch Mongoose 21-speed metallic brown bicycle was reportedly stolen from 2522 Forest Ave.
A green 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Kansas license 079FSN was reportedly stolen from 5926 Eisenhower Ave. Apt. 27.
A Great Bend resident reported being scammed by phone.
An employee at the Golden Belt Humane Society reported a known person abusing his dog at the High Rise, 1101 Kansas Ave. A notice to appear (NTA) in court was signed and served.
A known person allegedly broke items at a residence at 5501 Ninth St.
An unknown motorist struck a motorcycle, Monday afternoon at 1036 Van Buren St.
A party reported being battered by a known person. An NTA was signed and served.
Lane Heape was driving a motorcycle at 5:04 p.m. and struck a pothole on 17th St., causing the vehicle to lay over. This was reported as a possible injury accident.
An individual reported being scratched by a bat Monday evening on Eighth St.
An unknown motorist struck a parked vehicle at Walmart, 3503 10th St.
An identity theft case was taken after someone used a Great Bend resident’s name to open an account.
A rake and ice scraper were reportedly stolen from at individual at Marmie Ford, 1815 10th St.
