Kansas Highway Patrol
Two people were injured Monday morning on K-156 in Ellsworth County, three miles northeast of the K-140 Junction.
Pamela L. Maynez, 22, Dodge City, was driving north in a Nissan Altima at 8:15 a.m. when she fell asleep. The car drifted across the center line and collided with an oncoming Chevy Impala, driven by H. Kathryn Little, 74, Beverly.
Maynez was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita and Beverly was taken to Salina Regional Health Center. Both women were wearing seat belts.

Barton County Sheriff
A blue Chevrolet pickup was abandoned in the 200 block of East Barton County Road. It was towed Sunday morning because it was a traffic hazard.
A vehicle hit a deer on NW 40 Road and Washington at 9:55 p.m. Sunday.
A vehicle hit a deer on K-4 near the Odin cutoff, at 4:33 a.m. Monday.
A tractor-trailer hit a deer on west U.S. 56 at 5:49 a.m. Monday.
An 18-wheeler’s trailer overturned on north U.S. 281/K-4 west of Hoisington at 5:40 p.m. Monday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.

Great Bend Police
Someone broke the front window at 2204 Kansas Ave.
A vehicle driven by Taylor Herren was southbound on Washington at 5:33 p.m. Saturday and struck a vehicle driven by Jacob Ford that was southbound on Washington stopped at the red light at Broadway.
Brent Leuenberger, Great Bend, was driving east on Broadway at 3:31 a.m. Sunday and lost control turning north onto Washington. The vehicle hit a utility pole and Leuenberger was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, driving under the influence and no insurance.
A car at 807 10th St. was keyed.
Theft of a red trailer from 1215 Stone St. was reported Sunday.
A wallet was stolen from 4805 10th St.
An individual in the Great Bend Regional Hospital emergency room at 11:10 a.m. Monday reported an aggravated battery in the 1600 block of Morton St.
Someone spray painted a building at 3502 10th St.
A vehicle driven by Chad Freiss was southbound on Sheriden St. at 12:37 p.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Josepha Rooney, who was stopped at 10th St.
Someone broke into a residence at 5501 Ninth St. No. 52 and took a 42-inch flat-screen TV, it was reported Monday night.
