Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle driven by Maxine WIlkinson went off the road into a field at NW 40 Road and NW 10 Ave. at 1:06 a.m. Thursday. She was not injured but was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail for driving under the influence, with bond set at $1,000.
A vehicle driven by Jeff Klepper struck a power pole at NE 50 Road and NE 130 Ave. at 1:49 p.m. Thursday.
Luke Rios was driving south on NW 20 Ave. near NW 230 Road at 2:09 p.m. Thursday and swerved to miss two cattle in the road. The vehicle went into the west ditch.
 
Great Bend Police
Theft of a prepaid debit card from 2411 Coronado Ave. was reported Thursday. The victim later reported someone had used the card at Dillon’s that morning. He reported another transaction at Dillon’s in the afternoon, then someone used it at an automatic teller machine at Walmart and to purchase music online.
A search warrant was executed at a residence at 1718 Broadway Ave. at 12:05 p.m. Thursday.
A vehicle driven by Jordan Laraby was traveling west on 19th St. 12:48 p.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle driven by Brittney Reed, who was northbound on Adams St.
A theft by deception case was taken after a Great Bend resident reported giving a known person a rifle to work on and it was never returned.
Someone scratched a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a vehicle at the high school on Thursday.
An individual allegedly paid for steaks with a check on a closed account.
A Great Bend resident reported being a victim of identity theft.
