Correction
An accident report in Sunday’s “On the Record” was incorrect. Jeff Klepper was driving a tractor and pulling a farm implement at 1:49 p.m. Thursday when the implement caught a power line at NE 50 Road and NE 130 Ave. According to additional information from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office, a pole was leaning, causing the wires to hang low.

Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Friday, two Saturday and five Sunday.
At 7:47 p.m. Saturday they were dispatched to 817 Williams  St. for an automatic alarm. Smoke from the oven had set the alarm off.
At 7:29 a.m. Monday firefighters responded to Riley Elementary School for an automatic alarm. They were cleaning the alarm, which set it off.

Great Bend Police
Someone broke a window on the building at 2212 10th St., it was reported Friday.
A Great Bend resident reported someone using his bank card to make online purchases.
A GMC Envoy at 5839 16th Terrace B-45 was scratched.
A Kansas license tag was stolen from the 4800 block of 10th St.
A vehicle driven by John Heinz was eastbound on 10th St. at 3:18 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Morgan McCune, who was stopped in traffic.
A wallet was stolen from a vehicle at the library, 1409 Williams St.
A burglary was reported at 2:10 a.m. Saturday after a stereo and speaker were taken from a vehicle on Eighth St.
A vehicle driven by Tiffany Goodwin was southbound on Williams St. at 6:33 p.m. Saturday and struck another vehicle that was eastbound on 10th St.
Theft of hand tools from 2920 10th St. Room 259 was reported Saturday.
A burglary at Dairy Queen, 2302 Main, was reported Sunday morning. Someone broke open the back door, entered the building and took cash and a DVR, and damaged the back door and a cash register.
A burglary at the Highland Hotel, 3017 10th St., was reported late Sunday morning. Someone entered the kitchen and cooler and took two turkey breasts.
Theft of a car part from 49 Third St. was reported.
A gas skip at 3620 10th St. was reported at 11:37 a.m. Sunday.
A light-up pump was taken off the front porch at 1618 Van Fleet Lane.
A domestic call at 15 Fourth St. at 8:08 p.m. Sunday resulted in an officers taking a case of alleged aggravated assault. A 21-year-old male left on foot and officers were attempting to locate him.

Barton County Sheriff
Mid America Feeders reported burglary and theft from various buildings on the property occurred sometime last Thursday night.
Theft of a license tag from a pickup at 5950 Anchor Way was reported Saturday.
Theft of a license tag in the 300 block of NE 20 Ave. was reported.
A vehicle hit a deer near Cheyenne Bottoms in the 200 block of NE 60 Road at 7:36 p.m. Saturday.
A vehicle hit a deer on K-156 and mile marker 131 at 7:22 p.m. Sunday.
