Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Monday and two Tuesday.
At 5:45 a.m. Monday units responded to NW 150 and NW 70 Avenue for hay bales on fire. Upon arrival they found a row of large round hay bales, with eight of them burning. The fire was kept from spreading to more bales while a local farmer assisted in removing the unburned bales.

Barton County Sheriff
Solar panels were stolen from 334 North Washington Ave., it was reported Tuesday.
A vehicle hit a deer around 8 p.m. at NW 150 Road near NW 100 Ave.
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:34 p.m. on North U.S. 281 and NW 220 Road.

Great Bend Police
Theft of a silver Quasar 21-speed bike at 2120 Jackson was reported Tuesday.
A theft was reported at 2201 10th St.
Michael Foos and Terrance Anderson were both backing vehicles out of parking stalls at 2334 Main and backed into each other at 4:13 p.m.; Foos then left the scene. He was served with citations at 7:28 p.m. in the 1400 block of 19th St.
A ring was found Tuesday night in the 2700 block of Eighth St.
A bicycle was found at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of Broadway Ave.
