Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs Monday.
At 11:15 p.m. Monday, units responded to Fuller Brush for a fork truck on fire in the building. The security guard used an extinguisher to extinguish the fire prior to the arrival of the fire department. Cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.

Great Bend Police
Copper wire was stolen from 8918 Fifth St., it was reported Saturday.
Theft of a wi-fi hot spot device from 1514 11th St. was reported Sunday.
Vehicles driven by Jay Mick and Wonda Ybarra collided at 5:07 p.m. Sunday at 2501 10th St.
At 8:09 p.m. Sunday, police were asked to check on a woman on Jefferson St. who was talking about the Zombie Apocalypse. The woman was contacted and stated she was trying to get home before she turned into a vampire.
A license tag was taken from a vehicle at 930 Madison St. and a different one was left in its place.
At 1:19 a.m. Monday, someone threw some type of firework at 500 Odell St. and damaged the screen and broke a window on the residence. An aggravated arson case was taken.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on NW 160 Road and North Susank Blacktop at 8 p.m. Friday.
A woman who showed up at the Sheriff’s Office on Saturday reported she was involved in a motor vehicle accident somewhere near Barton Community College. Lt. Rick Popp said this is still under investigation because it was an accident with a delayed report. A 2000 Isuzu Hombre went off the road and rolled onto its side. Anahi Prieto, 23, of Great Bend, said she was a passenger in the vehicle, which is registered to a family member. She reported being unable to drive because she had been drinking, so an unknown male was driving. After the accident, she walked to the college for help and did not see him again.
A mailbox was stolen from 1386 NE 120 Ave., it was reported Sunday.
A vehicle hit a deer at 5:26 a.m. Monday at NW 110 Road and NW 40 Ave.
