Kansas Highway Patrol
Drivers from Stafford and Argonia were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita following a Thursday morning collision in Harper County, 4 miles northeast of Attica on NW 90th Road. At 11:15 a.m., Jody D. Bringer, 45, from Argonia was driving east in a Chevy Silverado and failed to yield to a 1985 Ford driven by Terziyski Svetoslav of Stafford, who was northbound on NW 90th Ave. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.

Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made 13 ambulance runs on Wednesday. At  10:02 a.m. they responded to a structure fire at 283 Liberty Road. The fire was out upon arrival. The owner was using a heat gun to remove paint from the exterior and caught the roof on fire. Firefighters checked the attic to make sure there was no fire before returning to the station.
