Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Thursday. There were no fires.

Great Bend Police
A known person was served a notice to appear in municipal court after allegedly shoplifting Wednesday at Waters True Value, 1649 K-96. The woman was then arrested on a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant.
A male at St. Rose Urgent Care told police two subjects beat him up and took his money at 11:05 a.m. at 2401 Railroad Ave.
Hubcaps were reportedly stolen from a motor home at 3314 23rd St.
An identity theft case was taken Thursday after someone got a credit card in a Great Bend resident’s name.
Pills were reportedly stolen from a residence at 700 Kansas Ave.
At 1:28 a.m. Friday, someone at 917 Holland St. reported someone damaging the windows of his vehicles.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on NW 200 Road and U.S. 281 at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A vehicle hit a deer on NE 110 Ave. near NE 40 Road around 8:05 a.m. Thursday.
Alfred Fire Department was paged around 1:04 p.m. Thursday when a deputy observed hay bales on fire on West Barton County Road and SW 140 Ave.
At 9:54 p.m. Thursday, four deputies responded to a reported altercation between neighbors in the 100 block of Rock Street, Pawnee Rock. One neighbor reportedly shot two rounds trying to scare cats and that was followed by a verbal argument.
At 10:42 p.m., two deputies, an Ellinwood police officer and Kansas Highway Patrol trooper responded to East U.S. 56 after a party reported someone had fired three shots and drove off in an unknown vehicle. No case was taken.
