Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made seven ambulance runs on Monday, plus one that was canceled while en route.


Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle hit a deer at 1:02 a.m. Monday on North U.S. 281 at mile marker 113.

A burglary was reported at 335 NW 50 Ave., Great Bend.

A battery was reported at Red Barn Pet Products, 30 SE 10 Road, Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 601 Patton Road.


Great Bend Police

At 12:03 a.m. Monday, a man told police he had been threatened by a known male with a firearm.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:21 a.m. at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

Dollar General reported a shoplifter at the store, 2400 10th St.

A wallet was found and booked into evidence.

A nitrogen tank was found in the roadway in the 2200 block of Stone Street.

Someone shot a window at 2722 19th St. with a BB gun.
