Great Bend Fire/EMS

A structure fire was reported at 7:31 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Fruit Street. The fire was out when firefighters arrived. One person was transported to the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus for treatment of burns.

At 5:16 p.m. Sunday, a bailer was on fire in the area of U.S. 281 and SE 40 Road.

Great Bend Fire Department responded to 11 Emergency Medical Service calls on Friday, 10 on Sunday and one on Sunday.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:24 p.m. Friday at Kaiser Total Service, 652 S. Main, Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:12 a.m. Saturday on East K-4 at mile marker 134.5, Claflin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:47 p.m. at 1230 East K-4, Claflin.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:41 a.m. Sunday on East U.S. 56 at mile marker 218, Ellinwood.

A battery was reported at 410 East 3rd St., Ellinwood.

An injury crash was reported at 6:38 p.m. in the 500 block of East Santa Fe Blvd., Ellinwood.


Great Bend Police

The K-9 unit was called to the 1000 block of Eisenhower Ave. at 5:12 p.m. Friday. A narcotics case was made but no one was arrested at that time.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:29 p.m. at 1912 Van Buren St.

A theft was reported at Casey’s General Store, 2716 10th St.

A burglary was reported Saturday at 101 Pine St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:48 p.m. at 2527 Broadway Ave.

Criminal damage to property was reported at Veterans Memorial Park, 4714 17th St. Terr.

A burglary was reported at 1614 1/2 Lakin Ave.

A burglary was reported at 301 Evergreen Street after a known person allegedly entered the residence.

A disturbance was reported at 2:25 p.m. Sunday at Veterans Park. A disorderly conduct case was taken.

A sex offense was reported.
