Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to five calls Tuesday. There was one fire/burn standby at the Barton County Sheriff’s Office Training Center.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday on North U.S. 281 at mile marker 106.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:57 p.m. at NE 190 Road and North Susank Road.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:08 a.m. Tuesday at Sunflower Diversified, 5523 10th St.

Elvis Garcia was arrested for allegedly damaging a vehicle and residence at 3632 Robin Road.

At 6:51 p.m. police received a report of a known person standing in the street at Broadway and Odell with a rifle. The person was contacted and a weapons violation case was taken.
