Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters checked on an accidental smoke detector activation Tuesday at Braum’s, 4209 10th St. There were no structure fires. On Wednesday the fire department responded to a refrigerant leak at 7:42 p.m. at Applebee’s, 3209 10th St., but found nothing. There was also an accidental smoke detector activation.
Emergency Medical Service made one ambulance run on Tuesday and four on Wednesday.
Barton County Sheriff
The K-9 unit was called to check on a possible narcotics violation at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday at NE Baker St. and Bomar St., northeast of Great Bend.
Great Bend Police
Unlawful use of a credit card was reported Wednesday at Walmart, 3503 10th St., and a Casey’s General Store, 2716 10th St.
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 3218 Meadowlark Ln.
