Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters were dispatched to The Reserves at Trail Ridge apartments, 811 Grant St., at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, for a second-story deck fire that was out when they arrived.

A fire reported at 1:57 a.m. Sunday at 61 Karen St., Great Bend, was an unauthorized burn.

There were five Emergency Medical Service calls Friday, five Saturday and 10 Sunday.


Barton County Sheriff

Search warrants were executed Friday at 1411 20th St., 260 N. Washington Ave. and Affordable Tire and Auto, all in Great Bend. See Sunday’s Great Bend Tribune article, “Drugs, guns, cash seized in Friday the 13th raids.”

Criminal damage to property was reported Saturday night at the Barton County Detention Center.

A burglary was reported Sunday at 620 SE 70 Road, Ellinwood.

A fight was reported at 10:56 a.m. at Dollar General, 62 West K-4, Hoisington.

Criminal damage to property was reported at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Road, Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A search warrant was executed at 10:13 a.m. Friday at 1427 1/2 16th St. Jenna M. Richter of Great Bend and Tommy Shepherd of Larned were arrested on outstanding Barton County warrants. Shepherd was booked on charges that include aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary; Richter was booked on charges that included violation of a stalking order and distribution of meth. Bond for each was set at $100,000.

A male subject took a bottle of tea without paying, Friday afternoon at Kwik Shop No. 753, 3907 Broadway Ave.

An injury crash was reported at 3:23 p.m. Friday at Broadway and Polk.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a legally parked vehicle Friday in the Walmart parking lot.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:14 p.m. Friday at Foley Equipment, 701 10th St.

An aggravated assault was reported at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Third and Holland. Police were unable to make contact with a known suspect.

Theft of a bike was reported early Saturday at 821 Morphy St.

An aggravated burglary was reported at 1:12 a.m. Saturday at 2514 31st St. B.

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 7:20 a.m. Saturday at 1109 Morphy St.
