Barton County Sheriff

A fire was reported at 2:35 p.m. Friday at 541 NE K-156, Claflin.

Criminal damage to property was reported at Joe Farris Rentals, 5708 Hemlock Dr., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:19 p.m. Saturday at Great Bend Fire Station One, 1205 Williams St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10 p.m. at 460 NE 30 Road.

A fire was reported at 4:09 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Barton Ave., Hoisington.


Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service had two ambulance calls Friday, eight Saturday and four Sunday. GBFD was on standby at the Barton County Fair on Friday and Saturday. There were no fire calls over the weekend.


Great Bend Police

Items were stolen from a vehicle at The Reserves at Trail Ridge, 811 Grant St., it was reported Friday.

Criminal damage to property was reported at Family Dollar, 1015 10th St. 

Theft of a decal was reported at 1718 Odell St.

Theft of tie-down straps was reported at Family Dollar, 1015 10th St.

A forgery was reported at Watkins and Calcara Chtd. 1321 Main.

A male was seen jumping the fence in the 5200 block of Telstar Lane around 6 p.m. Friday and hiding around the condos. He was seen running through properties at 6:22 p.m. and identified as Michael Brohaugh. He was arrested on a charge of obstruction after running from officers. Brohaugh was released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.

Two containers of possible marijuana were collected as found property Friday evening at the Central Kansas Dream Center.

A known person allegedly damaged a vehicle at Joe Farris Rentals, 5708 Hemlock Dr.

A vehicle backed into a legally parked vehicle in the 400 block of Locust Street at 6:32 p.m. Saturday.

An individual reported by battered by a known person Saturday evening at 10th and Washington.

An injury crash was reported at 1:38 a.m. Sunday outside Gambino’s Pizza, 1309 Main.

A window was broken at Discount Laundry, 924 Jefferson St.

A vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in the 1400 block of 8th St.

A burglary was reported Sunday evening at 1614 1/2 Lakin Ave. Someone reportedly entered the apartment and took a bite out of the occupant’s muffin.

A sex offense was reported early Monday.

Graffiti was discovered at the band shell in the courthouse square.
