Great Bend Fire/EMS
Great Bend Fire Department responded to seven ambulance runs on Thursday, three Friday, six Saturday and two Sunday. There were no fires.

Nov. 3
An injury accident was reported at 3:28 p.m. Thursday at 10th and Heizer St.
A vehicle driven by Joel Daubert struck a pole at 3:51 p.m. in the Braum’s parking lot, 4209 10th St. He was transported with minor head injuries.
A non-injury was reported at 5:53 p.m. at 20th and Washington.
At 11:14 p.m., Julio Ayala, 22, was arrested on a traffic stop for charges of flee and elude, driving under the influence, refusal of preliminary breath test and speeding. He was booked into the Barton County Jail and released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Nov. 4
A non-injury accident was reported at 7:52 a.m. Friday at 22nd and Adams.
A non-injury accident was reported at 10:25 a.m. at 17th and McKinley.
Forgeries were reported at Walmart and the 10th St. Dillons.
Theft was reported at Water’s True Value Hardware.
Criminal damage to property was reported at 1033 Adams St. Apt. C.
Theft was reported at Casey’s General Store, 1315 10th St.
At 10:20 p.m. an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for racing in the area of Broadway and Jefferson St. After the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, the pursuit was terminated.
Nov. 5
A burglary was reported Saturday at 1118 8th St. Electronics were stolen.
Reports of shots fired or fireworks were called in during a 10-minute period starting around 9:46 p.m. Calls came from Russell Parkway, the 1200 block of Macarthur, the 200 block of Coolidge and the 700 block of Coolidge. The fireworks were coming from outside the city limits.
Nov. 6
A non-injury accident was reported at 12:34 a.m. Sunday at 24th and Washington.
During a traffic stop at 3:23 a.m. at 5th and Pine, Misael Rodriguez was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana and other traffic violations.
Theft of a mountain bike was reported at 2500 24th St.
A battery was reported at 2:55 p.m. in the 800 block of Stone. St.
Fraud was report at Sears of Great Bend, 2515 10th St.
A fight was reported at 5:06 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. A juvenile case was taken.
A non-injury accident was reported at 6 p.m. at 19th and Main.

Barton County Sheriff
Nov. 3
A burglary in progress was reported at 12:45 a.m. Thursday at 227 SE 20 Ave., Great Bend.
A vehicle hit a deer at 7:59 a.m. of East K-4 near Redwing.
A sex offense was reported at the Barton County Detention Center.
A non-injury accident was reported at 9:32 p.m. on U.S. 281 at mile marker 130, followed by a second accident report at 10:07 p.m.
A non-injury accident was reported at 10:25 p.m. at K-156 and NE 120 Ave., Claflin.
Nov. 4
At 7:22 p.m. Friday, an officer checked on an animal complaint at U.S. 281 near NE 30 Road.
Nov. 5
There was a report of shots fired at 1:04 a.m. Saturday. They were heard in the area of the 100 block of Kiowa Road, Great Bend.
Criminal damage to a stop sign was discovered at SE 60 Ave. and SE 20 Road.
An officer assisted the Hoisington Police Department with its investigation of criminal damage to property at 259 S. Vine St. at 5:28 p.m.
A vehicle hit a deer at 8:55 p.m. at 164 NE 20 Ave., Great Bend.
Nov. 6
There was a pursuit at 1:59 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of NW 40 Ave.
A vehicle hit a deer at 6:17 p.m. at NE 60 Ave. and U.S. 56.
A rollover accident occurred at 11:13 p.m. at NW 150 Road and NW 60 Ave., Hoisington. This was reported as an injury accident.
