Great Bend Fire/EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to a utility pole on fire at 7:53 p.m. in the 60 block of NE 50 Road. They alerted the power company, extinguished the fire, and waited for the power company to arrive on scene.

Great Bend Police

A wallet was found at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday at 2919 Morton St. The wallet was returned to the owner. 

A dog bite was reported at 11:08 a.m. in the 1300 block of Harding St. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:59 p.m. at 2300 10th St. 

K9 Menta was utilized on a traffic stop at 7:11 p.m. in the 900 block of Walnut St. 

A narcotics violation was reported at 8:22 p.m. in the 1000 block of Stone St. 

A narcotics violation was reported at 9:22 p.m. during a traffic stop at 3512 10th St. K9 Niko was utilized at 9:26 p.m. 

K9 Menta was utilized in a traffic stop at 9:40 p.m. at 3920 10th St. 

K9 Menta was utilized in a traffic stop at 10:53 p.m. in the 2400 block of Main St.

Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:06 a.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of SE 20 Road, Ellinwood.

A fatal crash was reported at 10:27 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Santa Fe Blvd., Ellinwood.
