Great Bend Fire Department

A fire was reported at 6:28 p.m. Friday at the Barton County Landfill, 350 NE 30 Road.

A possible fire was reported at 11:30 p.m. at 2222 Forest Ave. There was smoke in the kitchen but no fire.



Great Bend Police

A sex offense was reported Friday morning.

A search warrant to executed at 9 a.m. Friday at 1402 Park Ave.

A burglary was reported at 9:05 a.m. Friday at 3105 Broadway Ave. A red 2010 Dodge 1500 with Kansas tag 629FYS was reported stolen. The Wichita Police Department notified the GBPD at 3:57 p.m. Sunday that the vehicle had been recovered.

Someone damaged the door to a vehicle at Sunflower Diversified Services, 8823 4th St.

An assault by a known person was reported at 9:09 p.m. Friday at 1022 Jackson St. A notice to appear was signed and served.

A battery was reported at 10:32 p.m. Walmart. It was handled as a juvenile call.

Another juvenile case was reported at 11:03 p.m., when units were alerted to a pursuit at 2nd St. and Kiowa Road. The sheriff’s office also responded.

At 1:47 a.m. Saturday, police were summoned at 207 S. Main, where a known person reportedly damaged a pickup during an argument. A notice to appear (NTA) for a charge of criminal damage to property was served.

An unknown hit-and-run motorist struck a 2016 Chevy Malibu at 2:41 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot at 5808 16th St. Terrace.

A fraud case was taken Saturday after theft of $900 from a Great Bend resident’s bank account was reported.

Another Great Bend resident reported possibly being scammed out of $400 by an unknown subject. More information was needed before a complaint could be filed.

A K-9 unit was dispatched to Broadway and Main for a traffic stop at 9:28 p.m. Saturday.

A possible theft reported at 9:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Williams St. turned out to be a report of a pothole in the roadway.

Police responded to a criminal damage report at 11:21 p.m. Saturday at 1700 Lakin Ave. A known person allegedly broke the window on the garage and injured the reporting party. A domestic violence case was taken and an attempt to locate (ATL) bulletin was issued for the suspect.

A burglary was reported at 1:12 a.m. Sunday at 2209 McCormick St. Cash was taken from the residence.

A case of battery and criminal damage to property was reported at 3:23 a.m. Sunday at 2119 Kansas Ave. An NTA was signed and served.

Criminal damage to property at 1428 21st St. was reported at 9:42 a.m. Saturday. Someone threw eggs at a shed.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:01 a.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of Morton St.

Criminal damage to property at 207 S. Main, Great Bend, was reported at 1:47 a.m. Saturday.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:29 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of NW 10 Ave., Great Bend.

An injury crash was reported at 2:54 p.m. Saturday at 366 SE 30 Ave., Great Bend.

Criminal damage to property at 9 Kiowa Road, Great Bend, was reported Sunday morning.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:04 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of NW 10 Ave., Great Bend.
