Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters responded to a structure fire involving a water heater at 1:32 a.m. Friday at 815 Hubbard.

There was one false alarm caused by a system malfunction at 1:38 p.m. Sunday at 3715 Meadowlark Lane.

Emergency Medical Services responded to eight calls Friday, six Saturday and five Sunday.


Barton County Sheriff

Units were called to a vehicular pursuit at 9:36 p.m. Friday at NE 20 Road and North Washington Ave., Great Bend. Great Bend Police Department assisted.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4:36 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of NE 50 Ave., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:43 a.m. Saturday at Straub International, 214 SW 40 Ave., Great Bend.

Illegal hunting was reported in the area of NW 140 Road and NW 60 Ave.

A burglary in progress was reported at 5:13 a.m. Sunday at 631 NE 130 Ave., Ellinwood.

A fire was reported at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at NE 190 Road and NE 80 Ave., Beaver.

A fire was reported at 9:18 a.m. at NE 170 Road and NE 30 Ave., Hoisington.


Great Bend Police

A search warrant was executed early Friday at 1210 Morton St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:18 a.m. Friday at Walnut Plaza Apartments, 2611 27th St.

Criminal damage to the building at 2609 Ninth St. was reported.

An injury crash was reported at 1:55 p.m. Friday at 11th and Morphy.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4:54 p.m. Friday at Eisenhower Ave. and Warner Road.

A 2008 Infiniti bearing Kansas license 153LVE was reportedly stolen from 1415 Jefferson St.

Criminal damage to a phone was reported at 3022 18th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:39 a.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Washington.

Someone reported shots fired in the area of 4th and Elm around 11:53 p.m. Saturday. Nothing was found.

Someone reported shots or fireworks in the area of the 3700 block of 22nd Street at 12:27 a.m. Sunday. An individual was contacted.

Rice County requested assistance around 9 a.m. Sunday at K-14 and Rattlesnake Road. K-9 Lazar responded.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:34 a.m. Sunday at Lakin and Polk.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:58 p.m. at 18th and Hubbard.

A fraud was reported at Applebee’s, 3209 10th St.
