Great Bend Fire/EMS

EMS made two ambulance runs on Tuesday. 

On Tuesday, there were two false alarms at two different locations in the city, one at 1301 Taft St., and the other at Johnson Electric; no smoke or flames detected.

On Wednesday, at 10:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a subject burning trash at 1441 2nd St. There was an illegal 50-gallon drum barrel burn which the homeowner doused himself with a garden hose.


Great Bend Police

A warrant arrest was executed for Ryler Bass at 8701 6th St. at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday.

A red Chevy Avalanche reported stolen from 3113 Forest Ave. was recovered at 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday.

A warrant arrest was executed for Kenneth Reed at 911 Grant St. at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday.

Theft of keys from an ex-employee at Dollar Tree, 3502 10th St., was reported Wednesday.

There was a sex offense reported at 10:19 a.m. on Wednesday.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10th and Heizer at 12:54 p.m. on Wednesday.

A traffic arrest was executed at 1:24 p.m. at 10th and Heizer. Christopher Rust was arrested for felony DUI.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10th and Harrison at 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday.

A warrant arrest was executed on Tyler Smith at 9:23 p.m. on Wednesday during a traffic stop at Burger King, 3929 10th St. K9 Menta was called to the scene.
