Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made eight ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires.


Great Bend Police

When a juvenile male drove a car into the Ellinwood Fire Department building at 209 1st St. at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, the Ellinwood Police Department requested a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert). The call was canceled before his arrival. A GBPD officer was dispatched to a Great Bend address in reference to the case at 3:38 a.m. but did not make contact with anyone at the residence.

An injury crash was reported at 12:38 p.m. Thursday in the 3200 block of 19th St.

A known person allegedly took a swing at an individual in the 2900 block of 24th St. around 7:25 p.m. A notice to appear was signed and served.

A two-vehicle non-injury crash was reported at 5:23 a.m. Friday at 1402 Cherry Lane.


Barton County Sheriff

A vehicle hit the Ellinwood Fire Department building at 209 W. 1st St. at 3:20 a.m. Thursday.
