Emergency Medical Service made six ambulance runs Wednesday. There were no fires.

A possible theft/fraud was reported Wednesday morning at the Barton County Detention Center, 1408 Kansas Ave. However, at that time it was unknown if any money was taken.

Police received a call about the possible theft of a vehicle in the 1700 block of Broadway Ave. but were unable to contact the reporting party.

Police were called to KFC on Wednesday evening when an irate customer was “yelling about the prices of chicken.” The subject left prior to the officers’ arrival.

A K-9 unit was dispatched to 9th and Hickory in Great Bend. at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.
