Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made seven ambulance runs Monday. There were no fires.


Great Bend Police

On Monday, police received a report of an employee stealing money from Dillons No. 3 at 1811 Main.

An officer assisted a disabled motorist at 12:07 p.m. at Broadway and Main.

A Great Bend resident reported an attempted fraud with a phone scammer asking the individual to send money to “clear a warrant.” No case was taken because there was no loss.

A pursuit began at 4:20 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of NW 10 Ave. and ended at NW 70 Road and NW 70 Ave. K-9 Menta was called out at 4:36 p.m. to track a subject who fled from the chase. Dennis Streiner was arrested for felony flee and elude, traffic violations, and outstanding warrants from Rush County and Great Bend Municipal Court.


Barton County Sheriff

A fraud case was taken Monday at the Barton County Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicular pursuit began at 4:20 p.m. in the 300 block of NW 10 Ave., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:51 p.m. at SE 20 Road and SE 90 Ave.
