Governor Kelly issues statewide stay-at-home order effective Monday at noon
Governor Laura Kelly Saturday morning issued a statewide stay-at-home order effective at 12:01 p.m. on Monday, March 30 continuing until April 19. The order added Kansas to the list of 22 other states who have issued a similar warnings.

Great Bend Fire/EMS

On Friday, Feb. 14, they responded to nine Emergency Medical Services calls and one carbon monoxide check.

On Saturday, Feb. 15, they responded to seven Emergency Medical Services calls and one Mutual Aid for a fire in Ellinwood.

On Sunday, they responded to seven Emergency Medical Services calls, one small gasoline spill, and three hay bale fires.

On Monday, they responded to five Emergency Medical Services calls

On Tuesday, they responded to eight Emergency Medical Services calls and one false alarm.


Great Bend Police

A theft was reported at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday at Great Bend Ampride, 2302 10th St.

Criminal damage was reported at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday at 5930 Eisenhower Ct., Apt. B.

Interference with a law enforcement officer was reported at 12:04 p.m. Tuesday at 2110 29th St. Willis Bunch was arrested and booked for interference with a law enforcement officer and probation violation in lieu of bond.

An injury accident was reported at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday at Wheatland Electric, 2300 Broadway Ave., Great Bend.

A battery was reported at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday at Renue Retail & Renue Salon, 1419 Main St.

A burglary/in-progress was reported at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Head Quarters, 1104 Main St.

Criminal damage was reported at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday at NW 200 Rd. and NW 10 Ave.

A sex offense was reported at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday.
