Great Bend Fire/ EMS

Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs Friday, Feb. 9. No fires were reported. There were seven ambulance runs on Saturday and a grass fire in the ditch was reported at 6:03 p.m. at 185 NE 40 Road. On Sunday there were four ambulance runs and no fires reported. 


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:31 a.m. Friday at 19th and Morton St. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:52 a.m. at 3503 10th St. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:13 p.m. at 19th and Main. 

A narcotics violation was reported at 10:38 p.m. Saturday at Cedar St. and Barton Ave. Rene Benitez was arrested and booked on charges of introduction of contraband, driving on sidewalk, and no driver’s license.

An assault was reported to the Great Bend Police Department at 2:15 p.m. Sunday. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:15 a.m. Monday in the 3200 block of 16th St.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:05 p.m. Friday at mile marker 218 on East U.S. 56, Ellinwood. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:41 p.m. at mile marker 218 on East U.S. 56, Ellinwood. 

A domestic incident was reported at 1:19 a.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of 9th St. Great Bend.
