The Great Bend Emergency Medical Service had nine ambulance runs on Monday and five on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, firefighters responded to a shed fire resulting from an authorized burn that got out of control at 2:09 p.m. at 400 SW 10 Ave. in Great Bend. Firefighters reported the blaze extinguished at 2:38 p.m.

Officers assisted the Barton County Sheriff’s Office on a call about a possible narcotics violation at 11:36 a.m. at 3503 10th St.

A narcotics violation involving a juvenile was reported at 11:45 a.m. at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St.
A malfunctioning traffic light at 10th and Washington was reported at 2:16 p.m. Great Bend Street Department was contacted.
