Great Bend Fire/EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs Wednesday. 

A tractor trailer that had caught on fire was reported at 8:41 a.m. at 642 West U.S. 56. The individual had extinguished most of the flames before the fire department’s arrival.

A false alarm about heavy black smoke was reported at 11:13 a.m. at NE 10 Ave. and NE 30 Road.

A theft was reported at 3:03 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart.

A domestic battery was reported at 5:32 p.m. at the Travelers Budget Inn, 4200 10th St.

Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:26 a.m. at NW 110 Road and NW 40 Ave., Hoisington.

A fire was reported at 5:43 p.m. at NE 30 Ave. and NE 140 Road, Hoisington.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:36 p.m. at 204 Wilhelm Ave., Ellinwood.
