Great Bend Fire/EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs Friday, four Saturday and seven Sunday. 

On Sunday, firefighters responded to a grass fire at 12:07 a.m. caused by a transformer at South U.S. 281 and SE 50 Rd.


Great Bend Police

A domestic incident was reported at 3:54 p.m. Friday in the 5200 block of Broadway. An arrest was made.

A battery was reported at 10:19 p.m. at Sarge’s Saloon, 2801 Main St.

GBPD assisted the Barton County Sheriff’s Office at 11:36 p.m. at 3013 27th St. A suspect was released to the BCSO.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:41 p.m. Saturday at 4705 10th St. 

At 12:23 a.m. Sunday, an officer contacted Antonio Quiroz at Charlie’s Place, 1109 Main. He took off running and was arrested.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 7:33 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Hickory.

A domestic incident was reported at 8:58 a.m. in the 2600 block of Coronado Ave. 


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:37 p.m. Friday at U.S. 56 at mile marker 202.

An armed subject was reported at 314 North Washington Ave. at 11:23 p.m.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:40 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 281 at mile marker 121.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:04 a.m. Saturday at NE 130 Ave. and NE 70 Rd.
