Great Bend Fire and EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service made 13 ambulance runs on Friday, eight on Saturday and six on Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a possible gas leak at 9:37 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Cardinal Lane; nothing was found.

They responded to a gas leak at 7:13 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Grant St.


Great Bend Police

A traffic arrest was made at 3:39 p.m. Friday at Broadway Ave. and Hoover St. 

A battery was reported at 8:19 p.m. at La Pasadita, 2023 10th St. A person reported being battered by an unknown subject. 

A traffic arrest was made at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at Burger King, 3929 10th St. 

A broken vehicle window was reported at 9:09 a.m. at 2541 12th St. 

A male subject was reported shoplifting items at 11:03 a.m. at Dollar General, 2400 10th St. 

Damage to a shed was reported at 3:27 p.m. Sunday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5860 Eisenhower Ave.

A traffic arrest was made at 9:25 p.m. E of the city limits on 10th St.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:06 a.m. Friday at NW K-4 and NW 80 Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:58 a.m. at NW 100 Rd. and NW 20 Ave., Barton County.

A fraud case was reported Friday at 445 NW 10 Road, Great Bend

A sex offense was reported at 2:33 p.m.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 8:58 a.m. Saturday at 349 Point Dr., Great Bend

A theft was reported at 3:37 p.m. at 624 W US 56, in Dundee.

Two non-injury crashes over the weekend were initially reported as injury crashes. The first was reported at 9:05 p.m. Saturday at NE K-156 and NE 160 Ave. in Claflin. The second was reported at 2:38 a.m. Sunday at 1560 NE 60 Ave. in Claflin.

A narcotics violation was reported at 10:34 p.m. in the 300 block of East Third St., in Hoisington.
