Great Bend Fire/EMS

There were five Emergency Medical Service calls on Wednesday. There were no fires.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 10:11 a.m. Wednesday at Patton Road and Railroad Ave., Great Bend. 

A battery was reported at Barton Community College.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:48 a.m. at NE 30 Road and NE 10 Ave.

Theft was reported at 852 South Main, Hoisington.


Great Bend Police

Criminal damage to a window on a building at Medicalodges, 1401 Cherry Lane, was reported Wednesday.

Theft of money was reported at Great Bend Health and Rehab, 1560 K-96.

GBPD responded to the non-injury crash at Patton Road and Railroad Ave. A vehicle driven by Thomas Elffner was northbound and struck a vehicle driven by Robert Reiter, who was stopped at the stop sign.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:01 a.m. in the 5700 block of 10th Street.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a legally parked vehicle at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2701 24th St.

A vehicle was damaged at 1408 Roosevelt St.

A burglary was reported at 1415 12th St. Someone broke into the residence and took items.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 805 Williams St.

A sex offense was reported at 1:38 a.m. Thursday.
