Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service responded to five ambulance calls Friday, 15 Saturday and five Sunday. EMS was on standby at the drag races Friday and Saturday.

Firefighters had one false alarm Sunday due to a smoke detector malfunction.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 1:17 p.m. Friday at 1519 Cherry Lane.

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:27 p.m. at 10th and Jackson.

A window on a residence at 1220 Hoover St. was shot with a BB gun sometime over the last few weeks.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:06 p.m. Saturday at 2702 Williams St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7 p.m. at Dillons No. 3, 1811 Main.

A theft was reported at Dollar General, 2400 10th St.

GBPD assisted the Barton County Sheriff’s Office in the pursuit of a black Dodge pickup at 11:41 p.m. starting at SE 30 Ave. and SE 10 Road.

A sex offense was reported Sunday.

A lawn mower and other items were stolen from a shed at 2522 8th St.


Barton County Sheriff

An injury crash was reported at 6:07 p.m. Saturday on West U.S. 56 in the Dundee area. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.

A fire was reported at 6:42 p.m. Saturday at SE 50 Road and SE 90 Ave. (the 800 block of SE 50 Road). 

The pursuit that began at 11:41 p.m. at SE 30 Ave. and SE 10 Road ended when officers were unable to catch the suspect vehicle.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:11 p.m. in the 4900 block of Railroad Ave., Great Bend.
