Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made seven ambulance runs Monday. There were no fires.

Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in a residence at 7:09 a.m. Tuesday at 2812 26th St. Upon arrival there were no flames or smoke showing, but an electrical smell was detected. The owners were contacting an electrician for follow-up.


Great Bend Police

Kenneth Gray was arrested at a traffic stop at 1:38 a.m. Monday in the 2500 block of 11th Street. The date of his arrest that was published in Tuesday’s Great Bend Tribune was incorrect.

A non-injury crash was reported just before 8 a.m. Monday at Broadway and Jefferson.

Theft or loss of vehicle decal 468KHC was reported at 2230 Cleveland St. 

A non-injury crash was reported at 2:57 p.m. at 10th and Main.

A window was shot with a BB gun at 2313 Washington.

A non-injury crash was reported at  3:14 p.m. at 19th and Odell.

Officers handled three child in need of care (CINC) cases on Monday. They also located one missing juvenile, who was taken to Juvenile Services.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:26 p.m. at Broadway and Patton Road.

A prowler/unknown person was seen in a backyard in the 2500 block of 17th St. at 9:14 p.m.

An employee at Applebee’s contacted police around 10 p.m. Monday to report a possible minor purchasing alcohol with a fake ID. A 19-year-old male was cited for minor in consumption and his fake Texas ID was collected as evidence.

Angela Spence, Hoisington — Barton County warrant for aggravated assault, criminal damage; bond set at $20,000

Alan Phillips, Hays — Possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, driving while suspended, expired tags, no insurance, display license plate, unlawful use of driver’s license; bond set at $10,000
