A registered sex offender living in Great Bend was arrested Wednesday afternoon for allegedly failing to report new employment.

Cleo Eric Conners, age 51, Great Bend, is listed on the Kansas Bureau of Investigation offender registry website. He was convicted in Barton County District Court in 2011 of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child under 14 (age 11) to commit or submit to a sex act and aggravated endangering a child, for offenses that occurred on May 14, 2010. He was released in 2013 but a warrant was issued after a parole violation. He was paroled again in 2014.

Conners is required to remain on the registry for life.

He was picked up at the apartment listed on the registry as his address at 5:02 p.m. on a state parole arrest and detain order.

The Barton County Jail log shows Conners was booked on a Saline County parole case and is being held without bond.
