RUSSELL — A Russell teenager was taken to Russell Regional Hospital on Monday after the sport utility vehicle she was a passenger in overturned, 2 miles east of Russell on 187th St., or 0.2 miles south of Homer Road.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 3:30 p.m. A 1995 Toyota driven by Javaun Parker, 48, was northbound on 187th when he lost control. The SUV entered a wheat field and overturned.
Parker is listed as a Kansas resident from city unknown. He sustained possible injury. Passenger Destiny A. Aldrich, 18, of Russell, was injured and taken to the hospital. Both were wearing seat belts.
The Toyota was removed by B&C Auto.
