A truck driver from Dallas received what appeared to be minor injuries late Monday night when the rig he was driving went off the highway in Stafford County. Kansas Highway Patrol reports the one-vehicle crash occurred around 11:50 p.m. on U.S. 281 at U.S. 50, 3 miles south of St. John. The driver was Mohamed A. Abdela, 35, in a northbound 2015 Volvo semi-tractor pulling a trailer. The vehicle went off of the roadway to the right, reentered and went off the roadway to the left, again went off the roadway to the right and then the left, and finally went off the roadway to the right a third before coming to rest. Abdela was taken to the Stafford County Hospital and the truck was removed by Doonans Tow. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
