Great Bend Police

A car was backing out of a driveway at 2617 27th St. at 7:51 a.m. Tuesday and struck a pickup.

Theft of hydrocodone pills from 5501 Ninth St. No. 85 was reported Tuesday.

A burglary at 1436 16th St. was reported Tuesday. Someone entered the house and took pills.

A Great Bend resident reported identity theft on Tuesday, after having a background check done that reported several residences she had never lived at.

At 3:26 p.m. Tuesday, a male reported several males in the area of 12th and Odell St. battered him and damaged his vehicle. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

Craig O. Atkerson was driving west on 24th St. and making a northbound turn onto Main at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Terry G. Thoren, who was also making a northbound turn.

Jami Saffa was southbound on Kansas Ave. at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Charles Brown that was northbound on Kansas turning west into a private drive.

Theft of a blue bicycle from 2808 17th St. was reported Wednesday.

A 68-year-old man was served a notice to appear in Great Bend Municipal Court after a woman reported Wednesday he had sexually battered her.

Karina Mijares was driving west on Broadway at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Dallas Schmeidler, who was stopped in a parking stall.

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the Walmart parking lot on Wednesday.

A vehicle hit a deer at K-96 and NW 80 Ave. at 7:32 a.m. Tuesday.

Theft of an iPod at Barton Community College, 245 NE 30 Road, was reported Tuesday.

Theft of a generator from the back of a pickup at 3322 Railroad Ave. was reported Wednesday.
