Crime Stoppers

The 156 Lounge, located at 1193 K-156 near Claflin, was broken into sometime between 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 21 and 7:50 a.m. on Aug. 22. A window and part of the wall were pulled away from the building to gain entry.

Beer, food and stereo speakers were stolen, with property loss and damage totaling over $3,800.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 792-1300 or 1-888-305-1300.

Barton County Sheriff

A Barton County cattleman woke up Tuesday to find a black Angus bull in his pasture. Several farmers were contacted in an attempt to find out where the bull belonged.

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Tuesday. There were no fires.

Claflin Fire Department

Firefighters were dispatched to a field on fire south of Claflin at 9:09 p.m. Tuesday. The fire may have been caused by lightning.

Great Bend Police

A Great Bend resident reported someone using her bank card. Loss was $32.42.

Two cars collided at 7:54 a.m. Tuesday near the Great Bend High School Panther Activity Center, 19th and Morton.

A burglary at 1315 Hubbard St. was reported Tuesday. Items were taken from the garage.

Theft of a vehicle tag from 701 Third St. was reported Tuesday.
