Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Friday, nine Saturday, three Sunday and two Monday.

There was one false alarm Friday and one Saturday.

At 12:10 a.m. Monday there were trees and brush on fire on the river, 2 miles west of Great Bend on U.S. 56 and SW 20 Road.

Firefighters responded to a stubble fire in a field at 343 NW 10th Ave. at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Barton County Sheriff

Theft of a tailgate from a 2004 Dodge pickup at 684 K-4 was reported Friday.

Theft of a laptop computer and PlayStation3 game system from a student housing unit at Barton Community College was reported Friday.

A vehicle was taken to the river/dike near Kiowa Road last Friday and got stuck. On Monday, it was reported that someone broke out the rear window and stole four amps with speakers costing $320.

Great Bend Police

A known person allegedly stole electronic items from Walmart, 3501 10th St., it was reported Friday. Loss was $333.62.

A vehicle driven by Magdalena Carrasco was eastbound on 11th St. at 5:52 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Sharif Olayan that was northbound on Heizer St.

Theft of a boys bicycle and a scooter from 1813 Adams St. was reported Friday.

Joel Clark was backing from a parking stall in the Walmart parking lot on Friday and allegedly struck a parked vehicle, then left the scene. He was later located.

An aggravated burglary at 712 Taft St. was reported Friday. Someone entered the residence, taking a cell phone and $125 cash.

Theft of a girls bicycle from the front porch at 1301 Adams St. was reported Friday. Loss was $100.

Several subjects kicked in the front door at 701 Morton St. and damaged a vehicle at that address, it was reported at 2:08 a.m. Saturday.

A dirt bike was stolen from the back of a pickup at 906 McKinley St., it was reported Saturday.

A broken window on a pickup at 307 Grapevine St. was reported Saturday. Loss was $300.

A gas skip at 1906 Main St. was reported at 11:52 a.m. Sunday.

A burglary at 117 Maple St. was reported Sunday. Someone entered the residence and took several collectors knives.

Theft of a license tag from a car at 1407 22nd St. was reported Sunday.

Theft of a patio set from 5501 Ninth St. Lot 50 was reported at 11:51 p.m. Sunday.

Theft of lawn furniture from 5919 Eisenhower Ct. A was reported at 12:01 a.m. Monday.

Theft of cash from an office at Walnut Bowl, 3101 Washington St., was reported Monday.
