Sex offender eligible for parole hearing

Randy Ray McGee, 58, who is serving a prison sentence for committing indecent liberties with a child in Barton County in 1992, is eligible for a parole hearing with the Prisoner Review Board in February and may become eligible for parole on March 1, 2023.

Public comment sessions will be held via Zoom Webinars from 9-11 a.m. on Jan. 12 and again on Jan. 23.

McGee was released in 2013 but returned to prison in 2016 after a parole violation. He was again paroled in 2020 and returned to prison on April 27, 2021.

He is currently incarcerated at the Ellsworth Correctional Facility where his security level is low-medium and he is working in a job.
