Sex offender failed to register
Jerry Lee Noblitt

Registered sex offender Jerry Lee Noblitt, 39, was booked into the Barton County Jail on Tuesday on a Barton County District Court warrant for aggravated violation of the Kansas Registration Act. His primary address as of Dec. 3, 2018, was 2210 30th St., Great Bend, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation offender registry.

He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

The KBI website notes Noblitt was convicted of three felony sex offenses, all in 1997 and 1998 in Kansas City, Kansas. The crimes were two counts of criminal sodomy and one count of indecent liberties with a child. The Kansas Department of Corrections shows earlier offenses in Wyandotte County. He was released from the Department of Corrections in 2009 and his sentences expired in 2010. However, he is required to remain on the registry until Nov. 30, 2026.
